YWCA's Housing Program has Emergency Housing, Supportive Living for Women in Recovery, Long-Term Housing at YWCA, Affordable Apartments in the Community.
To apply for Emergency Housing Placement, please apply for Emergency Assistance at the Department of Human Services (DHS) at 691 St. Paul St, Rochester, NY 14605 (585-753-6687 during business hours or 585-442-1742 after hours). Although DHS determines shelter placement, you can request YWCA.

This program is through Catholic Family Center and provides an emergency shelter for homeless women and women with children.
The address is confidential until the caller has been accepted into the program.
Eligibility: Must be willing to apply for public assistance even if turned down. Female children: any age. Male children: up to age 18 years and must accompany the mother.
Must not have a criminal record involving violence or arson.
